World Oceans Day

World Oceans Day

Happy World Oceans Day!

Have you taken a look at a globe lately? About 70% of the earth is covered by oceans. I challenge you to do something today to help preserve this blue planet for future generations! Here’s a few ideas:

  • Participate in a beach cleanup (there’s a few happening in Oahu today and tomorrow, or do your own!)

  • Use reef-safe sunscreen. Look for the active ingredients “zinc oxide” or “titanium dioxide” to make sure it won’t harm corals.

  • Say no to one-time use plastics and bring your reusables along with you instead.

  • Check a website or app like seafoodwatch.org to see if your seafood was sustainably caught.

  • Talk to your friends, family, coworkers, etc. and get a conversation going about how every single person can help keep our oceans healthy and beautiful!

Thank you for doing your part to protect our oceans!
