Earth Day 2018 Beach Cleanup
I’m really proud to share news from Saturday’s beach cleanup at Makapu’u Beach. Our crew carried out an approximate 75 POUNDS, including an estimated 2,230 PIECES of indistinguishable, degraded plastic, from the beach. Tap to scroll through the photos below to see the types of items we collected and some of the wonderful people who worked so hard to make it happen.
This is by far the most trash we have collected at any beach cleanup to date. Thank you so much to everyone who came out and volunteered their Saturday morning to keep our island beautiful and trash-free. And a huge thank you to our sponsors! This is the best way I could have imagined to celebrate Earth Day!
